Georgian Alphabet & Heritage Monuments

Georgia is a land of churches and towers: high in the Caucasus, on rocks above rivers, in old royal cities. This book brings sixteen famous buildings to your home – as colour cutting sheets with real stone surfaces, tiles and metal roofs. Cut out, fold, glue: step by step you create your own little Georgia.

  • 16 models on large colour cutting sheets
  • Building help with part pictures, sizes and steps on every back page
  • Info page with 3D view and elevation for every building
  • A page of history & legends for every church
  • The Georgian alphabet: 33 letters with Asomtavruli, transliteration and writing practice
  • Large relief map of Georgia

For model makers aged about 10 and up – younger children with help from adults.

About Chiora Books

Chiora Books is an international publisher of books for curious people of all ages: cut-out paper models to build, workbooks to learn from, and fairy tales from around the world for children.

The first two titles are about Georgia – its churches, towers and alphabet. The models, drawings and building instructions are original designs, simplified from the real buildings, so they are not to scale in every detail.
